About Sarah
I love life, the beauty of each person’s uniqueness, the ocean, mountains, being outside, strawberries, national parks, doing skits, my new car, family gatherings, Dariqueen, escaping into my hideaway (a home office with an easy chair, books and a door to close). I am grateful for a long and happy marriage, even in these times of dealing with my husband’s Alzheimer's. Boyd’s love is pure, and God gave me a servant’s heart. We are always learning and in this season we are learning to notice and to enjoy the little things life has to offer: birds eating at the bird feeder, sunshine on our faces, a good cup of coffee, a warm new winter coat.
In the morning we sit in our easy chairs, sipping coffee, and watching the action on our cul-de-sac. Our neighbor across the street feeds the birds in the morning. I watch her in her yellow fleece coat. A cheerful sight.
When I needed a new coat, I thought of Judy’s coat and ordered a yellow down hooded jacket. I too wanted to spread cheer. This coat has kept me warm and enabled me to meet new people. I was shopping at Target last week and a lady stopped me to tell me what a pretty coat I was wearing. I walked into Starbucks and the barista yelled across the store, “love your coat”. We rescued a little old partially blind dog named Buckley. My bright yellow coat helps him find me in the snow covered yard.
And this little story tells you a big thing about me, because I love the stories of my life, along with my desire to pass on encouragement, Keep Going was born. Hope you find a smile, an insight and encouragement in my writings.
